Kodo millet

mustard seeds

tbsp
Bengal gram/chana dal

curry leaves

grated ginger

onion, chopped

Chopped green chili

capsicum, chopped
1
carrot, chopped
5
beans, chopped

turmeric powder

tbsp
Garam masala

oil /Ghee
salt
Instructions
Wash the millet and allow it to soak for 5 hours, as I am not using pressure cooker.(If you use pressure cooker then no need to soak the millet)
Now heat ghee in a pan, and add mustard seeds, Bengal gram dal and curry leaves for tempering
As they start cracking and sizzling, then add the chopped ginger, and stir them for a minute
Add chopped green chili
Now add the onion and fry them for a minute
Then add the capsicum and carrot and stir them for a minute
Add chopped beans and saute them all for two minutes
Now add turmeric powder, salt and garam masala and stir them till the raw smell goes off
Add the soaked Kodo/millet and saute them for two minutes
Now add 2 cups of water and mix them well
Cover the lid and allow them to cook for 18-20 minutes in low flame
Open the lid and mix them well
Transfer them to a serving plate and serve hot with raita
