Today I will share step by step How to make deliciouschicken Bao / Chicken Bao Recipe, whichoriginated in Northern China. Chicken Bao is a type of filled bun or bread-likedumpling that originates from Chinese cuisines.
Add 1 tbsp warm water and sugar in a big mixing bowl
Then add the yeast, mix it and cover it for 5-6 minutes
Open the cover and see the yeast had been activated
Now add the all purpose flour
Add curd and mix them gently as it is sticky now
Sprinkle little oil and cover it 20 minutes
Open the cover and see it became double in size
Sprinkle some flour in a board and transfer the dough in theboard and knead well and divide it into three equal parts and make big lemonsize balls
Now with the help of your finger make them flat and make acircle of3-4 inches diameter
Now fold them gently (as they are very delicate), and putthem in the parchment paper.
Take a momo steamer, heat the water in the base and gentlyput bao in the steamer and cover the lid and allow them to steam for8-10minutes in medium-low flame
Meanwhile prepare the chicken; Heat oil in a pan/kadai, thenadd the chopped onion and fry them for 25-3 minutes
Add chopped green chili, ginger-garlic paste and sauté themfor 2 minutes in high flame
Add turmeric powder, cumin powder and red chili powder andstir them till the raw smell goes off
Add salt and cook for another 5-6 minutes and then take themout from the oven
Now the bao is cooked; so open the cover and check them how soft they are
Now unfold the bao and spread the green and red chutney
