Clean and wash the fish well; then put them in a mixing bowland add turmeric powder and salt, and rub the fish well with the turmericpowder; keep them aside for 10 minutes
Heat oil in a griddle/ tawa; let it come to smoky point
Slowly add the fish and fry them well
Once fried one side, then turn it over to other side and frywell both the sides

In the same oil (where we fried the fish) add the mustard seeds for tempering
As they splutter and sizzle add the mustard paste
Add salt and turmeric powder and mix them well
Now slowly drop the fish and mix them well and allow them tocook for 5-6 minutes in medium flame
Now the gravy become thick and turn off the flame
Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves
Transfer them to a serving plate and serve with hot pipingrice
