Doi Mach Recipe / Fish in Yogurt Curry Recipe is afantastic fish curry dish with yogurt and onion in white gravy. This is astraightforward recipe using minimal spice. I have chosen Rohu fish for thisgreat recipe, you can choose Katla also.
Takea blender jar and add the onions and make a paste
Cleanand wash the fish chunks and add salt and peppercorn powder and rub them well;keep them aside
Heatoil in a wok, let it come to the smoky point, then gently drop the fish chunksand fry them well on both the sides and take them out from the oil; keep themaside
Heatoil in a pan and add bay leaves, cardamoms, cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves andcumin seeds for tempering
As theysplutter and sizzle add the onion paste and stir them for a minute
Add ginger-garlicpaste and stir them till the raw smell goes off completely
Then add the yogurt and stir them continiously for a minute
Add saltand sugar and mix them well
Add the green chilies
Thenslowly drop the Rohu fish chunks and mix them well , and cook for 2 minutes onmidium flame
Turnoff the flame; sprinkle cardamom powder and chopped coriander leaves
Transferthem to a serving plate and serve hot with rice
