How to make Gondhoraj Ilish Recipe
Take a bigger size Gondhoraj Lebo, take out the zest, and keep them aside

Clean and wash the Hilsa fish, and sprinkle the lemon juice over them

Add salt and turmeric powder, rub the fish chunks, and keep them aside for 15 minutes

Take a blender jar, add the soaked mustard seeds and 2 green chilies, and make a smooth paste

Add salt and turmeric powder in it and mix them well

Heat mustard oil in a pan and gently drop the fish chunks, and fry them

Turn them over to another side, once fried on one side (don’t over-fry them), fry both the side, take them out from the pan, and keep them aside

Add Kalojire/ nigella seeds and green chili in the same hot oil for tempering

As they splutter and sizzle, add the mustard seeds paste with water (by washing the blender jar), and mix them well

Now add the lemon zest, and mix them

Gently drop the fried fish chunks and mix them well, and cook them for 2 minutes

Sprinkle lemon juice over the fish curry, and mix them

Transfer them to a serving plate and serve hot with hot piping rice
