Ingredients

Bisi Bele bath powder

  1. Bengal gram/chana dal-3 tbsp 
  2. Black gram/urad dal-1.5 tbsp 
  3. Sesame seeds-1/2 tbsp
  4. Fenugreek seeds1/4 tsp 
  5. Fennel seeds-1/2 tbsp
  6. Oil-2 tsp 
  7. Cumin seeds/jeera-1/2 tbsp 
  8. Coriander seeds- 2 tbsp
  9. Peppercorns-1/2 tsp
  10. Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp 
  11. Poppy seeds-1/2 tbsp 
  12. Cinnamon sticks- 1/2 inch
  13. Cloves-3 
  14. Marathi moggu-2 
  15. Kashmiri red chilies-5
  16. Coconut slices-3-4/ 25 gm
  17. Red chillies-10 

Pressure Cooking

  1. Raw rice -3/4 cup
  2. Toor dal-1/2 cup
  3. Water-3 cup

For making Bisi Bele bath

  1. Oil-1.5 tbsp
  2. Ghee-1.5 tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp
  4. Curry leaves-10-12
  5. Onion (cut in big cubic size)-1
  6. Potato (cut in big cubic size)-1
  7. Carrot-1
  8. Beans-5
  9. Tamarind water ½ cup
  10. Jaggery (grated)-1 tbsp
  11. Bisi bele powder-3 tbsp

For tempering

  1. Grated coconut-1 tbsp
  2. Cashews-15-18
  3. Red chili-2
  4. Curry leaves-10-12

Keep ready all the ingredients

Heat oil in a griddle

Add cloves, cinnamon, Marathi moggu, and peppercorns fry them and take them out from the flame

Add urad dal, chana dal, Kashmiri mirch, red chili, and coconut

Fry them all, and take them out from the griddle

Add leftover ingredients and fry them

Open the lid and add the tamarind water, mix them and again cover it for 2 minutes

Now in a tadka pan heat ghee and add cashews, allow them to change their color, then spread over the bisi bele bath

  • 3 tbsp Bisibele powder
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery(grated)

  • 1 tbsp grated coconut
  • 15 cashew
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 2 whole red chili
