  1. Garlic-1 cup or approximate 50 cloves
  2. Mustard oil-1 cup
  3. Ginger-1/4th cup chopped
  4. Tamarind pulp -1/2 cup
  5. Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  6. Red chili powder-2 tsp
  7. Asafetida-1/4th tsp
  8. Mustard-3 tsp
  9. Fenugreek seeds-1 tsp
  10. Fennel-2 tsp
  11. Salt to taste

  1. In a small bowl add water and tamarind to soak it.
  2. Heat a pan, add mustard seeds, fenugreek and fennel, roast for 2 minutes then allow it to cool at room temperature.
  3. In a blender jar add the roasted ingredients and make a course powder and keep aside.
  4. Take a hard bottomed pan, heat mustard oil, add garlic and chopped to make spicy garlic pickle
  5. Sauté on medium flame till it turns slightly brown, do not over fry it.
  6. Now add salt, chili powder and turmeric powder.

  9. Add the tamarind to make spicy garlic pickle
  10. Cool the mixture.
  11. Now add roasted powdered masala to the garlic to make spicy garlic pickle
  12. Allow the mixture to set,  then put it in a air tight glass jar .
  13. Serve it immediate or you can preserve it in a refrigerator.
