Ingredients of healthy Tomato Rice
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
• 2 Cloves
• cashew 10-12 pieces
• 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
• 1 Onion Chopped
• curry leaves
• 1 tsp Ginger & garlic paste
• 3 Tomato Chopped
• 3 Green Chill
• 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
• 1 tsp Cumin Powder
• 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
• 1 cup good quality basmati Rice
• 2 cups Water
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
Instructions of healthy Tomato Rice recipe
First wash and soak the rice. Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan.
Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds,curry leaves and let them crackle for a while.
Add onion and fry for 2minutes.
Now add ginger and garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes.
Add tomato and fry until tomato turns mushy.
Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add washed rice , water and salt.
Cover the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes or until the rice is well cooked.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and cashew nuts.
