
Tawa Fry Moon Fish / Crispy Moon Fish Recipe
Today I will share how to Tawa Fry Moon Fish / Crispy Moon Fish Recipe, which a very rarely available in Kolkata. This is a delicious and single throne fish. The first time I bought this fish, I did not know how to cook also, and then I decided to tawa fry it. Though it is a bigger in size, I managed it somehow.

Equipment needed
- Tawa/griddle
- Tong
- Spatula
- Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- Moon fish-1(350 gm)
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Lemon juice-1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
- Red chili powder-1/2 tbsp
- Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tbsp
- Baking soda-1/4 tbsp
- Salt
How to make Tawa Fry Moon Fish / Crispy Moon Fish Recipe
Wash the fish, and keep it on the board

With the help of a sharp knife cut the upper stomach side

And take out all the dirty things from its stomach

Now again wash the fish well and now slit the fish or make 3-4 deep long incisions to reach up to the throne on both sides of the fish

Now sprinkle lemon juice and add salt

Add rub the fish well, especially inside the cut marks


Now to make a batter add 2 tbsp gram flour in a mixing bowl

Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder

Now add salt and baking soda

Add little water and mix them well to make a tight batter so that the coating of the fish is not flowing out

Now coat the fish with the batter on both the sides

Heat oil in a pan/griddle; let it come to the smoky point

Place the whole fish gently on tawa and fry well on medium flame

Once fried on one side, and then turn it over to the other side with the help of a tong

And fry the other side well

Now transfer it to a serving plate and serve hot
