Today I will share Indo-Chinese cuisine, How to Make Delicious Chili Chicken | Restaurant style Chili Chicken Recipe. This is one of the famous Indo-Chinese cuisines, which have many variations: dry, semi-dry, and gravy. Today I am sharing the semi-dry version. Chicken chunks (maybe with bone or boneless) are marinated with spices and then cooked with capsicums, chilies and onions. It can go well with fried rice or ring paratha.

How to Make Delicious Chili Chicken

Equipment needs

  • Chinese wok/ frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

For Batter

  • All-purpose flour-3 tbsp
  • Corn flour-2 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp
  • Peppercorn powder-1/4 tbsp
  • Soy sauce-1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped green chili-1 tbsp
  • Water as required

For frying the chicken

  • Oil-2 tbsp
  • Chicken breasts  -200 gm (cut into medium cubes)

For Chili chicken gravy

  • Oil-1 tbsp
  • Onion-1 (cut in medium sizes)
  • Bell pepper (red, yellow, and green)-1/2 each
  • Chopped garlic-1 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger-2 tbsp
  • Chopped green chili-2
  • Chopped spring onion-1/2 cup
  • Soy sauce-1 tbsp
  • Red chili sauce-1 tbsp
  • Corn flour(dissolve in 3 tbsp water)-1 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce-1 tbsp
  • Vinegar-1 tbsp

How to Make Delicious Chili Chicken | Restaurant-style Chili Chicken Recipe

  • Take a mixing bowl and add corn flour and all-purpose flour

  • Add salt and mix them well

  • Add ginger garlic paste, salt, chopped green chili soy sauce, and peppercorn powder and mix them.

  • Make a thick batter by adding little water, and then add the chicken chunks, and coat them nicely

  • Now heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken chunks till the color changes to light brown

  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, garlic, and green chili, and sauté them for 20 seconds

  • Then add the onions and stir them for a minute
  • Add the bell peppers and stir them for a minute on high flame

  • Add soy sauce, red chili sauce, and tomato sauce and toss them fast or keep on stirring in this stage

Now add the vinegar, and sugar, and stir them

For Batter

  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tbsp  ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tbsp Peppercorn powder

  • 1 tbsp Green chili chopped

For frying the chicken

  • 200 gm Chicken breasts  -200 gm (cut in mediumcubes)
  • 2 tbsp oil

For Chili chicken gravy

  • 1/2 each Bell pepper (red, yellow,and green)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup Chopped spring onion
  • 1 tbsp Chopped green chilies
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour(dissolvein 3 tbsp water)-
  • 1 tbsp vineger

Instructions
 

  • Take a mixing bowl and add corn flour and all purpose flour
  • Add salt and mix them well
  • Add ginger garlic paste, salt, chopped green chili soy sauceand peppercorn powder and mix them.
  • Make a thick batter by adding little water, and then add thechicken chunks, and coat them nicely
  • Now heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken chunks till thecolor changes to light brown
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, garlic and greenchili, sauté them for 20 second
  • Then add the onions and stir them for a minute
  • Add the bell peppers and stir them for a minute in highflame
  • Add soy sauce, red chili sauce and tomato sauce and tossthem fast or keep on stirring in this stage
  • Now add the vinegar, and sugar, and stir them
  • Add the fried chicken chunks and mix them well
  • Add salt and the corn flour water and mix them nicely
  • Add chopped spring onion
  • Transfer them to a serving plate and serve hot with fried rice or paratha or roti
